I have been taking golf

November 23, 2019I am 86 years old ( 2/3/33 ) I have played at golf without lessons during the ’60s, gave it up for tennis when my 12-year-old was hitting it further and straighter. I took it up again in 2006 when we moved to Denver. I have since spent hundreds of hours of solitary practice, untold thousands on golf lessons with Golf Tec ( what a joke), golf schools, golf academies, private lessons from untold instructors without any appreciable success. Certainly no consistency. This included the meditation leaning thing they had at McCormick Ranch in 2018, a weeks school in Northern California called Golf Made Simple( for some maybe, but not me) a series at Tour Stryker at the Raven, the $700+ yearly thing with Rotary Golf, innumerable videos and every swing aid known to golf. And that is for starters. I felt that there was more merit to the Rotary Swing approach than anything else but I still wasn’t getting it and that is why I took a flier with Buddy Christianson.since he follows the Rotary approach. In 3 sessions he is getting me to understand what it takes to make a repeating swing. I am hitting my 7 iron consistently over 150 yards and occasionally upwards of 160 and he says that once it becomes more natural I should be a consistent 160plus with the 7. I am hitting my fairway 3 wood in the vicinity of 200 yards on my local driving range and expect that to go up once I get the latest move to be comfortable. I WOULD STRESS THAT IT REQUIRES WORK—But IF YOU ARE WILLING TO APPLY HIS LESSON CONCEPTS( in front of a mirror and on the range) I CANNOT IMAGINE THAT YOUR GAME WILL NOT IMPROVE. How much is up to you and based upon my experience at a VERY modest cost.
